2 Kings 6

The king of Aram was at war with Israel, and kept trying to ambush them. But Elisha sent word to the king of Israel every time he tried to set up camp, saying, "Beware of passing that place, because the Arameans are going down there." So the king of Israel wouldn't go that way. This went on many many times, and the king of Aram was frustrated. He called his officers and said, "Will you not tell me which of us is on the side of the king of Israel?" So, he's thinking there's a spy in the ranks. The officers replied, "None of us, my lord the king. But Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the very words you speak in your bedroom."
"Go, find out where he is so I can send men and capture him." Pretty soon, the king found out where he was, and sent a strong force surrounding the city. His servant asked, "What shall we do?"
"Don't be afraid," Elisha said. "Those who are with us are more than those who are with them." Then he prayed, "LORD, open his eyes so he may see." Then the LORD opened the servants eyes and what did he see? Chariots and horses of fire all around Elisha!!!!!!!!! But the enemy is charging! So Elisha said, "Strike these people with blindness!!!!!!!!!!!!" It was so. Everybody was blind. Bumping into each other and making a real scene. Elisha waltzed right up and said, "This is not the road, and this is not the city. Follow me, and I will lead you to the man you are looking for." It's almost like, "You don't need to see his identification. These aren't the droids you're looking for.":P Heehee!!!!!! So he marched them to Samaria - where the king of Israel was waiting. Then God opened the Arameans eyes and they saw where they were. Uh-oh. The king of Israel asked, "Shall I kill them?"
"Do not kill them". Said Elisha "Set food and water before them so that they may eat and drink and then go back to their master." After that, the Arameans stopped raiding Israelite territory.
God was greater than that whole army! I wonder if the chariots and horses of fire are still in vogue in heaven - they certainly were in Elijah and Elisha's time!!!:P And after that, God just got rid of the Arameans! Sent them away! They weren't a problem anymore! If God is on our side, we can defeat whatever comes against us - those who are with us are always greater than those who are with them.

I wonder if Elisha had to wave his arm like some kind of Jedi or something to have the power of the Lord take effect. I seem to recall things like Moses having to hold his arms above his head, using his staff to initiate the great wonders of the Lord, etc.
